WeatherOptics is a first-to-market, socially disruptive weather platform, delivering customized weather predictions that give meaning to the forecast. The company is comprised of forecasters, tech savants and entrepreneurs who have come together to create a platform that not only forecasts the weather differently, but sees it differently as well.

WeatherOptics was originally founded by Scott Pecoriello in 2009 as a popular blog called Wild about Weather, before exploding in recognition as a socially engaging and innovative small weather company. Over the next few years Pecoriello recruited forecasters and began offering consulting to small and middle-sized businesses who needed weather insight to thrive in their industry. In 2013 Pecoriello also founded Know Snow, a mobile app that forecasted the chances of school closing in Connecticut. When these two creative entities were merged together in 2017 along with a group of young and elite developers, designers and forecasters, a new vision was born – To disrupt the weather industry through customizable and meaningful weather data that was not only new to the market, but also shed light on why it’s important.
